After the initial release of Shift Bound for Mini Jam 187: Duality, we discovered several things that we did not think of during the 3 days the jam was held, for the past few days I have been working out some of the issues people mentioned and namely fixed the title screen and level select.
I am aware that due to the changes there has been more bugs or problems that have been created but I wanted to release these few patches so that I could get more feedback about anything else that people did not notice the first time around or that have changed thanks to the update.
Changes:
- Fixed Play button not working on first launch. (report if not working.)
- Fixed levels not showing in the level select screen.
- Scaled tiles slightly to avoid clipping through the player's head.
- Added "Go to Title Screen" button to the "you win" screen.
- Added restart button for cases where the player gets stuck.
- Adjusted physics (jump, speed, gravity, etc.) to reflect the new tile size.
In Progress:
[] Make audio settings reflect in game.
[] Add clouds/city parallax backgrounds.
[] Add [####] enemy to level [#].
[] Add more levels.
We are still open to suggestions / feedback / bug reports as hinted in the start of this post.
